The Kinkaid School is seeking a dynamic, innovative Middle School Science Teacher to serve as a long-term substitute in the Middle School team in the Fall of the 2018. This is a temporary assignment from September 2018 through December 2018. This assignment might extend into January 2019. The Kinkaid School is a co-educational non-sectarian day school enrolling 1,400 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Located on a sixty-five-acre campus in the heart of Houston, Texas, the school offers a thriving intellectual community in the midst of a vibrant, urban, diverse culture.
With an enrollment just above 580 students, the Middle School fosters a learning environment centered on academic excellence, intellectual curiosity and personal attention. The Middle School faculty enjoys small class sizes, and a collegial, collaborative environment committed to continuous professional development.
The long-term substitute Middle School Science teacher must be able to teach 7th grade Life Science science to a total of approximately 75 students. The teacher will advise a small group of students and be a member of one or more grade level teams.
