The Kinkaid School is seeking an energetic girls’ JV Girls lacrosse coach for the 2018 season.  The JV commitment would begin on February 5th until April 21st with daily practices from 3:45 pm until 5:45 pm. The coach is welcome to continue assisting with varsity for the remainder of the season, which ends in mid/late May. 


With over one thousand athletes on 80-plus teams in 24 sports, the school prides itself on its state-of-the-art athletics facilities and its commitment to balancing academic, athletics and fine arts. Facilities include multiple gymnasiums, strength and conditioning room, tennis courts, and all-turf playing fields. Kinkaid is a non-sectarian college preparatory day school enrolling over 1,400 boys and girls in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve. Located in Houston, Texas, the School has three divisions: Lower School (Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and grades 1-4), Middle School (grades 5-8), and Upper School (grades 9-12). Kinkaid is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and is part of the Southwest Preparatory Conference.


  • Teach fundamental skills and lead or assist on assigned teams
  • Assist with daily practice schedules
  • Collaborate with athletic training staff on injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation
  • Model and demonstrate the school’s core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and kindness while guiding the student athletes in their pursuit of academic, athletic and personal excellence as well as discipline, sportsmanship and personal fulfillment
  • Accompany teams to away games as assigned


The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work collaboratively with other coaches and have knowledge of the rules and regulations of the girls’ game. Previous playing experience is helpful, but not required. This is a part-time paid position that offers competitive compensation.  Candidate must be collegial and committed to collaborating with members of the Athletics department.  Must exemplifies Kinkaid’s four core values (honesty, responsibility, respect, and kindness) in interactions with all members of the community.
