The Kinkaid School seeks the services of talented, qualified educators who wish to serve as substitute teachers for the school year 2017-18. Preference is given to candidates with substantial teaching experience. Successful applicants must pass a screening, interview and background check. Once selected, substitutes are placed on the school’s substitute list and called whenever there is an opening.
Substitutes provide supervision and instruction to students on an as-needed basis. Generally, lesson plans are provided by the school to meet in the needs of this class period. In rare instances, the substitute would be expected to create all lesson/unit plans in collaboration with the grade level team. Minimum duration of assignment is half a day. Most assignments are a full day and more rarely, several days.
The Kinkaid School provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics. In addition to federal law, The Kinkaid School complies with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment.
